About the event

The Construction Dewatering for Environmental Professionals 2026 is an in-person course providing licensed environmental professionals (LSPs, LEPs, LSRPs, PEs and PGs) with the timely information they need to know, as construction dewatering is a critical part of construction and one that environmental professionals are typically involved in.  Dewatering system design/operation, dewatering fluid treatment and the associated regulatory requirements are critical considerations for environmental professionals involved in construction projects.  This course has applied to received 4 CEUs under the Massachusetts LSP and Connecticut LEP programs.  Breakfast/lunch will be provided.


Tony Urbano from GZA will discuss construction dewatering design considerations, including soil type, radius of influence, depth, etc. Paul Lockwood from Lockwood Remediation Technologies will explain dewatering treatment technologies and permitting/treatment requirements specific to Massachusetts. Sam Gilfillan from Groundwater Treatment and Technology will present the different techniques for construction dewatering (sump, well point, etc.).
