NEPA Practitioner-Specialist (posted June 3, 2019)

(Mabbett®), an award-winning and industry leading environmental, health and safety and architectural-engineering consulting firm, is seeking a full-time National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) Practitioner-Specialist to join our Environment & Infrastructure Group and support the firm’s growing Natural Resource practice. Demonstrated experience in the delivery of NEPA-related projects, project and team management and interaction with clients and regulatory agencies are required.  Wetland delineation experience preferred.

SAGE Environmental, Inc. is currently accepting applications for an Environmental Scientist, Engineer, or Geologist.   Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: performance of ASTM Phase I and Phase II Site Assessments; preparation of work plans; scheduling and providing field oversight of subcontractors; assessing work conducted by others; collection of soil, groundwater, sediment and soil gas samples, and analyzing laboratory data; writing technical reports, proposals and other documents; and making technical recommendations related to site assessment and remediation activities. 


Candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree and 3 to 5 years of experience related to environmental consulting, site assessment, and projects mandated by state regulations (i.e. RIDEM Site Investigation Process, MassDEP MCP Regulations etc.).  Excellent written and verbal, as well as, organizational skills are critical to success in our firm.  At a minimum, OSHA 40 Hr. HAZWOPER training is also preferred but not required.

The Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management is recruiting for the position of Deputy Administrator, Environmental Protection in the Office of Water Resources. The Deputy Administrator will assist the Administrator in the planning and administration of Groundwater and Freshwater Wetlands Protection Programs and directly supervise the Water Quality Certification/Stormwater Program. Duties include working directly with Program Supervisors and managing a staff of engineers and scientists responsible for performing technical reviews for land development permits and other activities that may impact Waters of the State. The Deputy Administrator serves as a key member of the Office of Water Resources team.
