  • May 2001 - “Strategies for Open Space Preservation in Rhode Island Warwick, a Case Study” Speakers included Lilly Shuey, Environmental Planner, DEM State Land Conservation and Acquisition Program; Scott Avidesian, Mayor of Warwick; Michelle Komar, Komar Consulting: and Mark Garrison, representing a citizen group interested in preserving Rocky Point

  • August 2001 -  Narragansett Bay Dinner Dance Cruise on the Vista Jubilee with Environmental Business Council

  • October 2001 – Ed O’Donnell and Larry Oliver, US Army Corps of Engineers on the Providence River Dredge EIS

  • November 2001 – Josh Secunda, Senior Environmental Counsel, US Environmental Protection Agency, Region I, spoke on the College-University Initiative regarding the EPA’s environmental audit policy for colleges and universities.

  • March 2002 – Tom Brueckner, Narragansett Bay Commission Engineering Manager, updated us on the CSO project in Providence

  • May 2002 – State and Federal Brownfields update featuring Terrance Gray, P.E., RIDEM Assistant Director for Air, Waste and Compliance, and Robin Main, Partner, Holland & Knight, LLP.  Jonathan Stevens, Senator Lincoln Chafee’s Policy Advisor, spoke about the proposed Community Character Act.
