RISEP has four standing committees. Ad-hoc committees are formed for specific issues.
The Regulatory and Legislative Committee provides:
- Communication channels through which RISEP membership will be kept informed of pending or developing regulations of concern to members and State and Federal legislation.
- Relationships with appropriate regulatory personnel to insure RISEP involvement in the development of sound regulations.
- Relationships with House and Senate members and committees to gain access/involvement of RISEP in the development of legislation.
- Representation on regulatory steering committees.
- Review and comment on pending regulations and legislation, present those comments on behalf of RISEP during hearings and comment periods.
- Coordination with other organizations of like interest in regard to regulatory rule making.
The Business Development Committee provides:
- Networking opportunities between RISEP members and other organizations of like interest networking among organization.
- Coordinates networking events for RISEP members.
The Education Committee provides:
- Forums for education members in new technology and advancements in existing technology, as well as new regulations and legislature in environmental issues.
- Coordinates training courses for RISEP members and other individuals of like interest.

The Membership Committee provides:
- Promotes membership in RISEP such that it truly represents environmental professionals from industry/manufacturing, engineering, academia, the legal community, and the environmental services industry.
- Maintain and make available RISEP membership directory.
